Recycling Program

The recycling program at Rutt endeavors to reduce waste at our manufacturing facility, promote the recycling of materials, and maintain a clean, environmentally concious workplace. Every year Rutt recycles tons of solid waste including wood waste, paper, plastic, cardboard, and spent solvents. The following is a brief summary of our 2008 recycling efforts:

• 400 tons of wood waste downcycled for use as animal bedding
• 960 cubic yards of wood waste downcycled for use as landscaping mulch
• 26 1/2 tons of cardboard, paper, and plastic recycled
• Over 8 tons of 5 gallon finish pails recycled
• 128 light bulbs recycled
